Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome back for the Tuesday surf report. A lot of new energy and swell came in today, but the conditions were really messy and pretty NUTS out there. That and the sun didn’t come out pretty much all day, it was gloomy and really dismal, but the swell/waves had some serious loads of power in em! Check out all the carnage inside the report!
Big bomb sets were coming in, but if the conditions were better, I think today could have been one of the best days we’d have seen so far this season.
Here it looks pretty good, right??? . . . . wait for it, though!!!
I wasn’t kidding about the jump in size from just yesterday.
If you look closely, this wave is joining forces with another wave coming in from another direction.
Kudos to this young buck for committing to the drop and hoping for possibly the barrel of the day. . .
Upon looking down the line and seeing that merging wave ahead, this thing was destined to be one HUGE MASSIVE closeout.
Pulling a classic Shaun Tompson, Pipeline “Punch through the back” maneuver on this easily Backdoor sized behemoth.
Fighting hard like a salmon going upstream, but more like trying to swim up Niagara falls!!! Nice effort though amigo!!!
As chunked out as it was and blowing all side shore and gloomy. . . the ones that did look promising. . .
Were only to be denied by THIS! The waves literally had some serious teeth on them out there today! You want some????? Jajaja
The ones who did take on the challenge of todays extraordinarily BIG, but incredibly difficult waves found themselves in pretty much all the same scenarios as this.
Going for all the glory!!! It’s a pure surfers only way!!!
To get as barreled as possible.
BUT, we all know, the consequences and paying your taxes is what happens when you want to play in the Big Kid Pool! Damn, and that looked like a brand spanking new KS Designs board too. To add salt to it, I think that last wave was only his second wave of out there too. OUCH!!!! But he’s still smiling (and alive and walking)!!!! 🙂

I think I could count on one hand how many “In & Out” barrels I saw out there while I was shooting, the carnage was that heavy!!!!
But like I said earlier, these guys came out with all guns blazing!!!!

Gotta give this dude some serious props for taking on all that heavy amount of water!!!
Serious washing machine, rag doll, doughnut factory all rolled up with extra frothy foam and LOTS and LOTS of SAND in every orifices from head to toe.
HAAAAA – Psych!!!! YEEAAAHH!! This charger made it out of one of the most gnarliest of gnarly waves out there….

The mysto left mirage, always looks soooo makable. Great for stills, let’s go for a swim down there, you in?!?!! Oki, let’s hope it cleans up and the sun comes out tomorrow.
