This is the biggest crowd I’ve seen on this spot but, who cares about the crowd when you can score big time… check out this guy’s sequence.
After taking off outside, he rode the wave for a few yards doing some turns and then put on the breaks aiming for the barrel.
A few frames later he was still there, dipper than before.
He came out clean and super stoked.
I bet he felt like Super Man after that barrel! If any of you know this guy, send him this way to check out his wave.
While the lines were appearing on the back, the front had a perfect spit.
Nothing better than dragging your hand on a glassy surface.
This guy got a nice barrel but his last name was not Florence or Slater to escape from that fast section in front of him.
Two of the Santana beach rippers were more than ready to catch some of these beauties (I can’t remember this kids’ names!)
Instead of go sit and wait like the rest, they went for the insiders and started surfing wave after wave right away.
Yes, the insiders are smaller, but they have a better shape overall.
Arriba Nicaragua!!
Throwing the fins out.
And bringing the board back down the wave, awesome!
These kids are improving their surfing really fast.
A big part of their improvement is that they support each other on every wave all the time.
Here is another barrel from one of the tourists on one of the set waves.
Everyone is still working normal, just ask Maria who is in charge of Casa Brown (from where I was taking the photos).
In case you don’t know,Casa Brownwent through a whole renovation and is ready to be rented, we are taking the new photos this Saturday so please check it out really soon, it turned out awesome!
Even though Nicaragua is going through very serious political issues, with protests in many cities, here on the coast is very calm.
I decided to change location looking for another angle, so I went toCasa Rockfor a closer look… by the way, that infinite pool is the perfect spot to be checking this wave.
Sadly, the tide started to get too high which means that the waves get closer to the reef, getting even sketchier than before.
It was time to get on the boats and head back home for lunch, then a nap and later a sunset session. Let us help you have an amazing surf trip, contact usto reserve one of our houses right in front of Rosada beach and you won’t need any boat to surf here. Saludos!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Good morning everybody and happy humpday! Parker here checking in for some bumpy shots of the morning. Also, there is some other action in the back half of the report so check it out amigos!!
Hello brothers and sisters. We surf the mid tide going down. The wind was good and the waves were not to shape, but the 50 % of the waves were good. Check it out.
Hello everybody. The waves are shoulder high and a little soft. The offshore wind is light, the colors in the water are very beautiful. There are a lot people in the line up today because the waves aren’t big and today is Sunday Funday so everybody wants a party wave (not really haha). Some good..
