Happy TGIFriday all you loyal inner-web amigos! As you’ve seen from this week, we have had some crazy good waves, some nuts weather and everything in-between… so why not kick off yet, another weekend with some super sic wave shots from your favorite lineup… your’s truly, Playa Colorados in full bloom!
I got down the beach SUPER early to shoot the report, being that I had to go shoot a wedding today…. ahemmm ya, I mean, I actually shoot other things than just surfing believe it or not. But to my surprise there were only 2 dudes out.
Here’s the other lucky bloke.
The other favorite light I love… morning light, only I’m braking the rules. However… rules are meant to be broken, but only if you know how to break them properly.

They say stretching every morning is good for you. Looks like surfers have a leg up in life.

Really, not a bad looking lineup for a bunch of rain the night before and ZERO wind @6:15AM.
Not sure how many times I’ve used “The early bird gets the worm” on a report, but here’s one more.
Sick Barrel Nuggets are more consistently prevalent over the course of the year here than any other place on the planet…. #truefact !!

This is what happens when you leave your pop-tart in the toaster oven a little too long. Metaphorically specking of course.
Hand placement for least amount of spray, CHECK! Pig-dog position on LOCK! This guy’s batting 100 on his early morning surf session!

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were better by all measurable metrics today. It was still walled up and slow, but there were definitely some 10 pointers to be had.
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
