I bet my lucky charms if you’re reading this right now you wish you were deep inside this emerald green barrel! The good and bad news is… nobody is!
This lucky guy got not only this, but a lot of other big aqua green shacks tonight.
As you can see in the background, the rain helped calm down the whirling winds and it got much cleaner.
Erin Brooks has been here mastering the waves of Nicaragua for a while now. That’s a pretty big statement when you think about leaving the waves of Hawaii to come here for comparable rippable surf.
On a similar note, JJ’s been surfing here since he was about the same age as Erin, only he’s all grown up now… and still shredding!
Big boys and their toys playing in the water. We’re all just kids in man-bodies, that’s all it comes down to.
A fine example of a well executed bottom turn.
Another fine example of a well executed bottom turn.
The ripping was going down all over the place this evening.
Mr. Carl taking one heck of a late drop on a nicely sized set wave.
If you’re ever thinking of coming down to Nica… I highly recommend bringing one of three things. Bright colored shorts, a bright colored shirt, or a bright colored surfboard. They all really stand out amongst, not only the crowd, but they look great against the aqua green water!
Complimentary colors in full effect!
The perfect image to reference just a little overhead.
The perfect image to reference how hollow and deep you can get here in Nica-Land.
What else are you to do when the lighting goes and your shutter speed is begging for attention.
Exactly this!!!!
Speed blur right?
Or a speed blur left? You choose!
Well that about sums up our Sunday Funday folks! Waves are looking to be good all week, so do what you normally do and head on back here to check out all the surfing action. Stay tuned for a VERY special return guest photog and editor this week…….. Yewwwwwww ~
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. The waves were decent all day long today. The wind was still, and the wave faces were smooth. The sets were head-high when they came.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Hey there Weekend friends. Welcome to Saturday surf report. It was a bit chunky out there today, as the reverse winds continued to serve up some onshore slop with some nuggety sections. Only the diehard fans were out so lets check em out shall we.
