Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hurricane Adrian is gone, but it’s effects are still lingering. We’ve got some overhead swell running, but we’ve also got stormy conditions (again). The river in San Juan broke through and dumped tons of junk into the bay. Chocolate barrels.
Some of the boats lost their anchors and got washed ashore. This is our neighbor Fidel’s boat. Luckily, they got to it in time before it sank. Check out all the boats in the background on the beach.
Of course, we couldn’t just sit in the house all day and do nothing. We went out in search of some cleaner water and a ridable wave. Hey, it’s better than nothing.

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. I saw the waves turn on and off about 7 separate times today. The conditions were in constant flux. It just so happened to be that the best window of the day was when I took pictures around 1:00pm.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Wednesday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were better by all measurable metrics today. It was still walled up and slow, but there were definitely some 10 pointers to be had.
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
