This photo alone exemplifies how sick it was out there for all the dawn patrollers. Big, mean, nasty & beautiful…. all at the same time!

The most ironic part about today was how epic it was in the morning…. and how Sh!!ty it turned so quickly for the rest of the day. Scott here, reaping the rewards of practicing the age old adage of “the early bird gets the worm”!

John G, stoked there’s no more “snakes” out to get his morning coffee. You’re a legend brother! Anybody ever hassles you, you send em my way hermano!

The guy who sees everything in the early AM while most are still in REM Deep sleep mode. Buzzy putting the camera down when it’s the right time to put the camera down.

Anyone who was out there this morning knows……. it was pretty freaking EPIC!

Including this guy right here. Our very own, Parker Hannahs, super slotted after returning being back for only a hand full of days.

Speaking of another return guest and stand out surfer… JJ, back in his element, like he never even left (for grad school and a bunch of other super mega intelligent things he did while he was away).

You wanna see a few more reasons why living here from year to year improves your surfing leaps and bounds?

I’m sure the lure of getting shacked out of your brains is at the top of the list.

Mi amiga and super cool surfer from Australia, Jess, surfing this place just like back home; which just so happens to be Spanner Rocks. See the similarity.

Mr. Wallach on a really solid one!!!

There are many things to love about Nicaragua. One of them is certainly the surf.

PhiLu has a lot of passion for many things… one of them is learning Spanish. Another is he’s a very talented cinematographer. The other is getting the biggest barrel of his life. I think he’s come to the right spot!

In the surfing world, the phrase, paying the taxes get’s used quite bit.

Unfortunately here, it’s synonymous with just about every paddle out.

Deep mystery barrel rider of the day goes to….. ????

Want a picturesque photo opportunity? We’re definitely not short on them here.

Clean and makable isn’t always in the agenda here either. Going for it regardless is, however.

Never has the “out the back” look been overlooked more than here I think.

If Scott had a semi decent day today, I’d be surprised. I’m sure he’s already been asleep for 6 hours before I even got my report up today.

If there is any surfer here who knows the closeout section better than anyone…. it’d be this guy! Bagging it, just because he likes to!

Hey Rick, was this the two wave hold down you were telling me about today???? After your years swimming at OR, I can imagine it was one of the MUCH bigger ones from today! Salute to you for making the swim out this morning buddy!

Alex, who’s visiting with a big group of friends from Newport Beach, CA for his amigo “Steve’s” bachelor party managed to sneak away from all the hoopla and Flor De Caña just in time to snag this frothy barrel this morning. Sans hangover…. we’ll never know. What happenes in Nica, stays in Nica. Las Vegas is SOOOO Overrated anyways!

You know who’s not overrated…. this guy!

What in the world could possibly be better than getting shacked in the early morning, in sick waves, with only a few people out……

Having your brother on the shoulder of the very wave you just got spit out of, hooting for you!!!!!!!! Now that’s a good surf day!

Well… how’s them apples and oranges???? I sure hope you enjoyed it, because that’s the end of my surf report for today. Thanks for always stopping by! RECENT REPORTS

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. The waves were a touch smaller today, but had more kick than I was expecting. It didn’t really drop so much from yesterday.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Hello everyone, this is Baldo reporting from Santana. The winds were not favorable today, the sky was gray and sporadic rain came through during the morning.

Hola amigos! Brian here back in action with the NSR crew & huge thanks to Parker and Baldo for covering me while I was away! Lo siento for the tarde report. We had very dismal unhappy weather throughout the the day, while I waited patiently checking the surf continuously for the conditions to improve, hoping for..
