Somewhere in Nicaragua

It was a spectators delight (particularly if you happen to just be walking up and seeing waves like this). I’m surprised these people aren’t sprinting!

Barrel fest would be an understatement. It was more like Shack’O’lados on Fuego today!!!

Jackson IS the “Man on Fire!!!!”

King Kong might have nuthin’ on Denzel, however Denzel ain’t got nuthin’ on Jackson!!!

My good ol’ pal DT walked down with this super beautifully SIKKKK band spanking new Tyler Warren custom Ultra (almost too amazing to look at, as in should be a wall hanger) glass on twin fin magic stick. If you know Derek, it’d be a shame to not ride this thing, especially with how insane the waves were pumping. Gettin er’ all waxed up and ready to go hunt down some killer barrels!!!

And of course, I made it down to my favorite morning spot that looks right into those heaving river mouth rights just in time as D nabbed his very first wave on his brand new shred sled.

Yeah buddy, looks like that thing is working like MAGIC!

Super crispy clean glassy conditions, to go perfectly with his incredibly highly gloss/glassed finished board.

You can’t test drive a modern day classic without checking what’s under the hood.

This next wave was for sure (I thought going to be) the wave of the day!!!!

BUT, as we’ve all had our moments, D taking one for the team and cartwheeling down the face. . .

And sucked back over the falls. At least he can say he put that TW board to the ultimate test out there today!!! Yeaaaah D!!! Let’s have some of them lobsters you found while you were down there (practicing some of your deep breathing techniques), for dinner tonight!!! Jajajaja 😉

I’m telling you, it was working like a machine for that little slice of perfection window at this peak at the right tide and the right time this AM.

This thing had some teeth on it!!!

I mean a serious growler!!!

The sequence is even more epic, but just out of these three shots alone, you can see just how much I wasn’t joking about how freaking good it was out there.

Heavy wipeouts, no matter what, you’ve always gotta get back on that horse; and that’s exactly what Derek did! And scored in doing so!

I was surprised to see Jackson out there going right more than left, BUT again, the rights were absolute FIRE!!!

If you’ve stopped scrolling to open a new window on your browser and are booking your trip right now, I am not at all offended. I am actually very proud of you!!! Get your booty down here!!!!

Jackson making this complete wave look like a damn video game, but SO MUCH BETTER!!!

There were some Keto sized diet barrels out there too. But they all looked dreamy as any barrels should!

One last little banger sequence as I was actually just walking back up to the beach club with my homie Derek right as he got out and we both turned and saw this. . .

Again, the short amount of shots (not posted) in this sequence doesn’t even give this dudes barrel time proper legitimacy of how sick and long this thing was.

But I chose a few of the best (of what I thought) would showcase this amazing last wave that I nabbed before packing it up.

I was packing it up, and this guy was packing some 3-4 maybe 5 second barrels!

That’s right baby. . . if it were a claim, which in this case I really don’t think it counts as one, but the “pointing directly back at the wave” that just gave this guy some major morning wood, perfectly exemplifies  just how sick this wave AND mornings session was!!!
