Somewhere in Nicaragua
Howdy surf fans! Well, I have some fantastic news. Today we were graced with some much needed cleaned up conditions out there in the ol’ ocean. After a pretty long stint of pretty horrible conditions, the winds were finally calm and the water was just as tranquilo. Check it out!
If you’ve been around these neck of the woods lately, you know perfectly well, how utterly sweet this looks!
There was still some good size out there too. Look at how high the explosion is of this main peak, after breaking.
If you happen to nab the end section of good corner but there’s no barrel on it, you improvise with the next best thing, like this guy. Crack the top right off!
Today was also a great day for getting in the water to shoot again, like my friend Tony here. The swell and currents the last few days have been pretty insane.

Much to my surprise, today was more about nice big roping turns, over sick deep barrels.
Regardless of the opposing wave styles out there today… Lesther was slaying everything out there in his path with his carving game.
I do sense a little hostility he’s manifesting on this wave face though, because his beloved wave wasn’t producing nice big hollow barrels for him today. It’s ok buddy.. everything well be back to normal soon, hermano!
Today felt like a nice clean day at Lower Trestles, actually.
That is, a nice clean day at Lower Trestles when the inside section over those cobbles stone rocks give you a nice little cover up.
See… looks like this could be a nice summer day at the famed southern San Clemente surf break. But it isn’t!
I guess if we’re going for comparisons today. Would or could this be Cottons? Totally looks like that one today too, on a nice clean southern swell.
Looks like Oscar may have gotten a new shred stick?? Well, I’m glad to see he’s shredding on it!! Nice turn amigo.
You have to agree…. kicking out with a canon ball, keeps the youthful side of surfing alive every single time! On that note, I’m gonna splash right on outta here!
