Hi everybody thanks for checking out the first surf report of June! Today we’ve got Roberto “Lucha Libre” and the boys bringing you all the surf action from the beach.   We woke up early this morning and we had this wave all to ourselves.  It was about chest high on sets with offshore wind and the water felt really nice.  Check out the crew preppin’ for the sesh!

The waves weren’t barreling that much, but Mateo “Guineo” somehow found this sweet little tube.  After this wave Mateo was all smiles for rest of the day.

“Hace Queso” was out there getting a bunch f fun waves.  Here she is streaming down this left.  “Hace Queso”, it would be wonderful if you could hace some quesadillas for us later!

“The Godfather” was commanding the lineup as usual.  Pancho is not only showing off his surf skills, but he is also showing off the sweet paint job on his board.

Dan Marino was out… oh sorry, Jeremiah “Chewy” was getting some waves as well.   Here he is showing love for two of his favorite things: Football quarterbacks and NSR!  CHEEEEEEEWWWWWYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

After a while we had some friendly Frenchman paddle out.   This is Erik with a sweet bottom turn. He is stoked to be here in Nicaragua traveling around for three weeks.

Sometimes we try and get attractive shots of pretty girls on the beach.  Today we settled for Mateo with the dopest ‘censor bar’ we have ever seen! Any ways…. We should have swell all week, so check back!!!

Later on, we had two girls from the states that wanted to learn how to surf.  There is no one else better than D-lite to show you how to do it, he’s the man when it comes to surf lesson.  Here we have a nice shot of the girls so excited getting some instruction on the beach.

This is Adrianne with a solid stand up on this wave.  Can you guys believe that this is the first time that she takes a surfboard out?  Congratulations Adrianne!!!

Today Team NSR slayed the fish in a killer afternoon fishing session that went down before sunset.  We started fast with a Dorado and then another quick Tuna and a big Jack.  After that, we missed another small Dorado.  This was all inside the first hour.  The bite was on, but we had no idea what was going to hit next.  Then one of rods doubled over and started spinning faster than I had ever seen - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!  We knew it was something big from the start...and then it jumped!  It was a small BLACK MARLIN, we are guessing around a 200lb'er.  Over the next 20 seconds, the reel continued to unspool at an astounding rate - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ - and the Marlin was jumping wildly trying to shake the hook.  It wasn't long before we knew we were outmatched - the line was quickly running out and the reel was starting to smoke.  There was nothing we could do to stop this thing.  ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!  A few more giant leaps and the Marlin spun us out completely and broke off.  Everybody on the boat looked at eachother with wide-eyed amazement in our eyes - did that really just happen?  The whole thing only lasted about 30 seconds but it's a 30 seconds none of us will ever forget.  He's still out there...

We got another Mackerel on the way back in.  This is a photo of us on the dock before Sunset.  What a day.
