Somewhere in Nicaragua

Hi folks, this is Roberto “Lucha Libre”, Jairo “Come Pan” Panic, and Mateo “Pledge” with the Monday surf report. We were pretty stoked that there was offshore wind today, but not to stoked that the waves were kind of small. We headed to Maderas anyways and made the best of it. Check out what we got!

Surprisingly it was not that crowded out there today. Here is Augusto “La Gaviota” Chamarro taking off on one of the best sets of the day. He was surfing really hard today because he was the only surfer representing the local crowd.

Peter “Gallo Claudio” Martinez was out there getting some fun waves for himself. He said that even though the waves were not great it was wonderful to be surfing out there just with a few other friends.

Since “La Gaviota” was getting so many good waves we had to put up one more to show it. Here he is doing a nice looking top turn setting up for a section down the line. Hey Gaviota, now we are going to go talk with your lady, ok?

Another day, more sick waves down here in Nicaragua. Today was a bit smaller than yesterday, but just as fun. We hung out at the NSR Beach House all day and caught some sick ones. This is DLite, locked into an overhead dredger.

This morning we had head high swell and offshore winds (don’t get your hopes up, they quickly turned onshore at about 10am – damn!) We did manage to catch a few waves out at Playa Tamarindo while it was still fun though.
