The swell has gone down quite a bit from the last couple of days.. but that didnāt stop anyone from having a good time out there, thatās for sure!
Karoline, Diego and Milo are visiting here from Argentina, enjoying themselves today at one of our premier beaches. This used to pretty much be a āsurfersā destination only place, but as you can clearly see, this is a total family package place for enjoyment now! And we couldnāt be any happier with visiting guests such as this happy familia. Welcome down my fiends!
The surf was a tad smaller today, but the conditions were pretty epic as the day went on.
Just a great day to sit and enjoy the sun, the surf and be completely tranquillo.
Today was Michael Marcellino aka āMuzzyāās last day.. and Iām really sad to see him go, because heās such a fun and great person to hang and talk with every day. Until next trip Muzzy!! See ya back here soon, amigo!
So you canāt really have a true Sunday Funday here at Hacienda Iguana without some proper beach club drink & food professionals at hand.. like my buddy Junio.
Or Armando.
And weāll just let the food speak for itself!
Speaking of food, thereās something to say about having the right amount of paddle fuel easily accessible at your hands when youāre out surfing all day. This guyās gonna need a smoothy!
Kiki agreeās 100% with Sunday family funday here. āShakaā chica!!
The swell might have dipped a little, but there were still some good sets that were sneaking through.. and the conditions were improving gradually throughout the day.
Youāre never short of seeing some top notch talent here.
Being that itās the norm to spend the day here at the playa on Sundays. My good friends Scott and Barbara are always around and always have a smile on their faces!
Including Chica! Happy puppy!!
Living here, you get to meet a lot of new people who inevitably become ānewā friends. My new amiga Kate was out there today enjoying some really fun waves.
I canāt quite figure out what this guy would be looking at that would be better than that there barrel, but it must be really GOOD!!
Mylesā¦. ALL SMILES!! Cool Bro-amigo!
If I had to sum up āourā version of Sunday Fun-day in one imageā¦ this would be it!
No shortage of surfing excitement around here too often.
Or just your normal, fun hanging out experience. Crack a ToƱa and relax!
Some people come here to vacation, and some come to surf on the clock and vacation. Thereās a slight difference, in that the ones who come to surf on the clock means that theyāre honing their skills in ideal surfing destinations (like ours) where you can practice for your upcoming NSSA, ISA, WQS, and WSL or whichever you compete in skills. We have waves that accommodate all of the above.
Kei Kobayashi, honing & getting tech on the shores of Nica!
A moonā¦ why? because it was there!
As the day progressed, we started to see a little more sporadic sneaker sets coming through; which isnāt a bad thing at all!
Sunday fun-day lay-back Larry, or as some people call itā¦ dropping the wallet. Most people here donāt carry a wallet, so Iāll give it the Nica name that is should be which isā¦ āTumbarse para la siestaā!
Weāre also never short of a happy āshakaā crew here either.
Tubes for lunchā¦ itās always on the special!
If I had to sum up āourā version of Sunday Fun-day in a close runner up second imageā¦ this would be it!
Okā¦ just curious. Which bum did you see first?
Oily. Glassy. Slight Offshore. Just a couple of our known conditions here on occasion.
My parting gift for you today. The biggest set wave of the day and Quentin Turko going for broke to get the shot. How else would you end the perfect Sunday??
Enjoy your week ahead my friends. Check back for much more action this week as we get geared up to showcase you so much more of what we have to enjoy and share with you with waves, people and action! AdiĆ³s y nos vemos de nuevo muy pronto ~
