What little peeps that did show up for todays waves came through the jungle to see this waiting for them!

Clean ,semi glassy conditions with nice light and subtle offshore winds blowing in the late morning.

Today was a good day to be out at the playa for sure.

It was also a great day to work on the three staples of surfing.

The air game out there today was pretty solid.

DJ, who’s also a fellow photographer is leaving pretty soon, so he’s getting in as much surf as he can. I’m looking forward to my day off so I can get out there too. Looks super fun!

Kevin’s airs go from being almost 10 feet above the lip to 50K views on surfline’s sick rodeo flips to even these little inside mini punts. It’s safe to say he’s a well rounded aerialist, among his many other talents out here.

The second department that was being well take care of out there today was the tubos, salt mines, green room… there are many names surfers have given the term of getting shacked over the years; but it’s all the same. Right?

Land Barrel shots, water barrel shots, not so much the same, but both look cool none the less.

So be honest, how often does your home-break look like this? We’ll just say it looks like this quite often.

So the last area of focus today was obviously the rail game.

And the guys that were out were definitely not disappointing.

Zac with his signature hack attack.

This unknown visitor, throwing some serious buckets.

The water is so warm and nice right now. Can’t believe it’s already almost mid June. Feels like end of the season practically with how much rain we’ve already gotten, that and the conditions are very similar to Augusts/September right now; which is my favorite time of year here btw.

A-Frames with nice lefts and rights served up with minimal people out… feels like 2008.

There’s a little stigma with being a surfer here and enjoying the conditions while the country is unrest for political reason right now. But the fact of the matter is a lot of the local people here live and some survive on tourism, alone. Unfortunately as foreigners, we cannot do anything or get involved politically because it is illegal, but by coming here and buying things from the local people and helping to continue to give them work will still continue to stimulate the economy. So if you like to surf and are on the fence about coming to Nicaragua, this is just some food for thought.
RECENT REPORTS

Howdy, howdy everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days! The epic run of surf we’ve had continued today. But I do think today was the last of it for a while.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Welcome to a new week of great waves in Nicaragua. The offshore winds are back and that means good surf, especially after the river broke on Saturday, readjusting the sand bars here at Santana.
