Somewhere in Nicaragua
Buenos días a todos!! This is Parker loading this morning’s early shots. The waves were fun and it’s been a gorgeous day (so far) so check out what’s happening in our backyard.
What did you think of that cover shot above? It’s not hard to take nice photos when the waves are pumping. Anyways, this is what I saw as soon as I walked up to the beach. Not a horrible way to start the day, right?
To start the session, it was mid tide and fun! Some waves pinched whereas others peeled. Sit in the right spot and choose the right wave and you would have scored.
Sir Lucas getting acquainted to some of those tricky sections. If only he could have played his poker hands as well as his backhand. Editors note: we scored the Left empty the other day with pumping waves. His backside attack (and Robbie’s) looked solid out there.

Let me show you my favorite wave of the day. Roberto here, locking into a perfect right on his new 6’10 single fin. “Cheeks” is about to score…

Slowing down for the exit but still rolling to the beach! It’s been raining lately so the river has been flowing and depositing sand up and down the bar. Maybe we’ll see more of these notorious river rights as the season progresses.

The Brit, aka Russ Dog, found more than just barrels today. Let’s take a minute to thank the real champ of his trip: Whitney. Momma is holding down the fort with three young kiddos while daddy gets a vacation. Well deserved must I say but what a great women to run the show and especially to put up with all of his quirky English antics.
Raise your hand if… 1. You want another Ana Lucia massage, 2. Want to be first out in poker tonight, or 3. Smoke a cigar every night you’re down here. Russell is a hard sell, can you tell?
Devon was out cruising his handshape. A morning coffee at Pili’s Kitchen and a few fun lefts will do you right.
Buzz, another steez master, finishing out his left. It may not look like it here but him and Johnny G push the limits of steep and deep on those long boards.
Well, back to the river rights, shall we?!?!
Ok, I made the executive decision and walked up the beach and to the water’s edge. In the set before this, I saw some fun lefts so I wanted to get a certain angle looking into it. Then, that right above and this one right marched through. “You got me this time…”
I promise guys, this is the last right I’ll post today. Moving forward, the swell looks fun today (how about the dropping tide later??) and tomorrow. The weekend might feature some crossed up swells but let’s see what actually happens though.

Guten Tag! Hello to all of our alemán fans out there and everyone else who’s chiming in for todays surf report. We had some super fun waves with light winds and an even lighter crowd, so don’t be shy and come take a look at todays goodies!
Welcome to a new week of great waves in Nicaragua. The offshore winds are back and that means good surf, especially after the river broke on Saturday, readjusting the sand bars here at Santana.
