It was pretty cloudy this morning and overcast so everyone got to cruise shirtless and no sunscreen. It’s always a bit easier on the eyes too without the sun and the glare.

This guy with long hair was crushing it out there. He probably caught the most of waves of all the surfers in the lineup.

The middle peak was most consistent, but there were a few guys on it. So Travis chose to sit further North and patiently for his waves to come. His strategy worked and he made good work of this wave with a vertical off-the-lip hit.

I feel like this guy may come here fairly regularly… I remember his build, face and pig-dog form, but I forgot his name. Anyways he timed this entry well on a ripped up but hollow right.

Time to flick on the windshield wipers and start to squint haha! There was a lot of foam and froth moving around on this wave.

Into the belly of the beast he goes.

This guy was another MVP of this morning’s session. His style, timing, and body mechanics were all excellent.

He’s got his rail set perfectly during this bottom turn and is pivoting off his trailing hand with it barely scraping the surface of the water.

He unloaded the drive he generated during his bottom turn with a powerful slash displacing plenty of liters of water.

Deja Vu? Haha

Good variation and decision to leverage the inside ramp section for an air. Good combo amigo! That’s gonna be scored in the excellent range in my book!

It was a fun day indeed. I was surprised that the entire morning window was good, then another little window at sunset opened up. We definitely needed this love from the waves after getting skunked by the onshore flow pretty harshly this month. Tomorrow we get an interesting wind pattern, some North-Westerly flow. Could be pretty fun for us goofy-footers tomorrow. Hollower lefts with the wind blowing into them and some extra lift under our boards for frontside airs. Hasta mañana.

Howdy, howdy everyone! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days! The epic run of surf we’ve had continued today. But I do think today was the last of it for a while.
