The wind was mostly onshore / cross-shore from the West today, but it wasn’t very windy. The rain was heavy and thick enough that it actually softened up the effect of the wind on the waves.

There were a few surfers out at sunset doing their best to grab a few waves. The camera hates overcast and dusk, but that’s what I had to work with today.

This guy got a nice little corner here. I checked the waves during some of the heaviest rain around 3:00pm or 3:30pm and there was a window where the wind was actually dead and there were about 10 surfers out, but it would’ve been dicey to pull out the camera in the downpour haha. Sometimes you gotta play defense.

Sorry buddy! Your layback attempt was praiseworthy unlike my ability to focus the lens haha.

This photo most accurately summarizes today’s conditions in my opinion. It was pretty marginal out there. During most of the day the wind and wind-swell made for frothy and slushy waves.

All of my onshore doom and gloom being said, there were a couple of double-ups that opened up on the sandbar just right.

This left even had a little spit at the end. Probably the wave of the evening haha!

East coast of the US vibes were prevalent today. A grovel-able A-frame rolling through at the middle-peak with no takers (understandably so).

One last determined trooper marching out for a chance at a handful of waves before dark. I respect his stoke haha. Better to wait for fairer conditions in my opinion. Tomorrow is another day… That being said it looks like the troublesome conditions will persist for another week or so, before some degree of normal offshore flow returns. Tony Z returns to the report tomorrow and he is a magician with timing windows and the surf report, so let’s see what he comes up with tomorrow. Thanks for checking in and see you next time.
RECENT REPORTS

Hello and Happy Sunday. We headed off campus today to the south and tried to find some mellower waves. There’s still p[plenty swell in the water. @tonyzphotos bring you the days action.
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Howdy everyone, Josh back behind the lens again! Welcome to the Thursday surf report at Colorados. The waves were glassy and a nice goldilocks size. Not too big and not too small. This was one of the few barrels I saw roll through this morning.
