Somewhere in Nicaragua
Hey there boys and girls… you’re in for a special treat, as we had a special guest arrive late this afternoon. Better late than never!
I think this was the only chica out surfing during the afternoon session. Laying down some nice lines on her frontside barrel game I might add!
When I got to the beach around 4pm, there was this crazy looking rain squall quickly making it’s way right towards the beach club. Glad I was able to take cover under one of the palapas until it finally passed. Also glad I was able to nab a few shots of the best waves while the downpour was taking place.
Once that rain made it’s way out the ocean and beyond… everything cleared up perfectly.
Did I say, perfectly? How’s this mystery barrel surfer of the day shot?
So see, the swell did finally make it’s way here… only running about 26 hours late, but hey, we’ll take it!

Ok well maybe I didn’t see Barry get the biggest catch of the day out there. BUT I’m certain I’ll get it tomorrow, being that I have a feeling after seeing the new swell arriving, it should be pretty epic mañana!
The reef, pretty uncrowded and always a great indication of size when the swells here.

As that sun started to fade, so did the ones left out in the lineup still getting shacked before heading in for the day.
Waves don’t turn off at night, so imagine how many perfect waves are going by unridden right now until about 5:30 tomorrow morning???? Ugh…
Alright my friends. Glad I waited to shoot until later, but have to say sorry for the later report too as well. It’s was a catch 22, but let’s see how tomorrow plays out. Should be pretty good if this swell continues to fill in. Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. There was a window early today and right at sunset. At mid-day when I took pictures the wind kicked up making for better turn sections than tubes. Still a few if you knew where to look.
