Somewhere in Nicaragua
Welcome back and Happy Monday Ya’ll! It’s another week and hopefully, just hopefully, as the forecast is predicting, tomorrow we should be back to our normal offshore beautifulness & glory! Today was onshore, obviously, but the small out to sea winds just made for little skatepark like conditions and the people who were out were using it to their full advantage! Enjoy ~
Here’s a GREAT visual reference to just how funky the wind, weather and swells have been. Here we have a two colored wave. Hows that for weird!?!?!?!
Bauti claiming the standard aqua blue side and ripping down the line like the speed demon he is!
That’a-boy…. Huntington hop that thing til your hearts content.
Because this was the one and only wave closest that I saw that looked almost like a barrel out there today.
Chics rip too! Sometimes equally or even better than a lot of the dudes!
There was a split (hehe, you see what I did there) chance that I was going to have to make a very quick and tough decision as to who I should choose and follow, because I knew there were two pretty good surfers splitting this peak.
Well, with many years of my experience, I’ve gotten pretty good at not missing very many waves and when it comes to splitting hairs (haha you see, I did it again) I followed my guy instinct with this chap who went for the big power gouge. Nicely done btw amigo!
And then I swung the lens around super fast to pick off this kids big punt. It was a glorious win for all of us!
The shredding was top notch out there today. Not too many hiccups in the rail failure department.
There were plenty a bottom turn.
And there were plenty a top turn.
There was rusty brown water (like we saw a little earlier in the slide show).
And there was ankle potential breaking moves going on over on the blue side.
When you can get your board, fins, and body composition like this on a 1-2 foot section of a wave. You not only get on the surf report, but you get some big props!!!! YEAH BUDDY!!!!
People out there should be in prison…. there’s no doubt everyone was murdering the waves out there today.
Who doesn’t love a solid straight up vertical foam climb type top turn?
Even the other surfers and other video/photog capturers were glued to the scene!
It was like a surfing circus. But without any clowns.

Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. There was a window early today and right at sunset. At mid-day when I took pictures the wind kicked up making for better turn sections than tubes. Still a few if you knew where to look.

Happy Sunday amigos! That swell did come in a bit, but it was a little weird and funky. Some times in the day it was ON, and other times is was just weird and wonky and had all these weird rip currents. Needless to say, There were still some people out and getting their fair..
