With all the occasional drizzles throughout the day, all the in between times or in better terms, session were perfectly flawless like this.
Carlos Señor teaching little Carlitos Jr. the ups and downs with nature all while keeping a simple lifestyle and upbringing approach at one of the most special places on earth.
John Gillem just might believe he’s hit the lottery. The perfection of waves that have graced our shores almost the entire month of June has been incredible.
Don’t believe me, here’s Nacho’s pig dog left on the other side of that flip coin, or in surfing terms John’s right.
My buddy and good friend whom I regularly call “Papa”, not only because he has two beautiful kids, but he’s been surfing these waves for a long long time now. He’s like the godfather… haha AKA Papa!
I heard the waves are supposed to be good (like this) for the next couple of weeks.
Besides the probability of timing the tides and or the occasional down pours of rain, if it’s like this for a solid two weeks, that will have made this month of June one of the best if not THE best month we’ve seen here in terms of consistency.
Grant’s not opposed to good waves. That’s exactly why he chose to live here.
When your local break looks like this, you know it’s a pretty special day.
It was so glassy, you could literally see your own reflection in the wave face, just as you’re about to pull into a light green cylinder tubo.. like Ryan here!
Happy Fathers day this ol’ Chap! Yeww Dan the Man! You rock and you’ve got yourself two great kids, ehmmm, excuse me, I mean young men who’ve turned out amazing!
Of course being able to surf with your kids on the one day in the year where they get to appreciate all that you do for them all year long is just the icing on the cake. For Dan, this his icing on his cinnamon buns! (haha inside joke – if you know, you know!)
John showing and making his Pops proud!
As I watched the waves peel all up and down the beach this afternoon, I realized I didn’t see a single walled up closeout the entire time.
Just perfect peeling A-Frame waves with easy makable barrels and beautiful bowl sections, just like the one Jackson’s cracking one off the top of right here.
I’m glad Derek gave me the heads up when he did, right be before he paddled out.
It was a really good call! Everyone was surfing so good, I was actually really bummed I didn’t have a surfboard with me so I could paddle out and play too!
The cheering squad isn’t just on the beach here. We’ve got everyone cheering in the lineup as well!
I tell you what…. Jeyner here is certainly cheering out-loud inside this dreamy looking left!
Despite the usual muggy and hot rainy weather, this afternoon had some really nice cool breezes that made it just right for that sunset beach stroll.
There comes a time when I can no longer shoot due to low light. However, the surf pumped perfectly all the way until that sun was long gone. Josh here getting in some of the last light gems.
Well, it was another magical day. Blessed to be a father myself, blessed to be here witnessing all this beauty and amazing surf. Hope you all had wonderful day as well! Hasta mañana amigos ~
