Nicaragua Surf Report for Tuesday, June 24, 2008

This is Jairo “Come Pan” Panic and Mateo “Pledge” reporting in on this rainy Tuesday. The swell is not hitting to strong yet, the waves were only chest to shoulder high with mostly offshore wind. We had some good friends from Florida hire us to take land and water photos of them all day. The waves started off not so hot with side shore wind and bad form, but by the afternoon the waves cleaned up and the wind straightened out. Check out the lineup!

This is Christian on a good sized left setting up for a long ride on the inside. This wave was working really well today and Christian was connecting a lot of the lefts all the way to the shore.

This is Eddie bottoming turning on a fun left. He told me that he has not surfed in the past 20 years, but six months ago he picked it back up. We are stoked to have you back in the water and we hope to see you down here again real soon.

Now that we’re pretty comfortable with the water housing we are now offering water shots to our clients. It’s pretty sweet to be able to view different angles of your waves and even some barrel shots! Here is Colin about to spray “Pledge” with a nice hack.

Here the brothers Lloyd are expressing their love for each other. No but seriously, it takes a true brotherly bond to be able to trade lips like this. Colin is here in the background getting a good hit, while Christian in the front considers his next move.

Here is Eddie and Christian with there attempt at trading lips, not so successful. I think Christian almost clipped off Eddie’s already broken toe. Con cuidado amigos!

Here is another water shot of Colin this time slipping into a little barrel. At the beginning of this session, when the waves were not that good, Colin felt like he was back in Florida, but when he got this wave he knew Florida was far away!

After taking water shots for about five hours “Pledge” went out there to score some waves. Here is, his legs feeling pretty tired, but still finding enough energy to lay into this left.

Here is a group shot of the crew at the end of the day. This is Eddie on the left, Colin Lloyd, then Christian Lloyd on the right.  These guys were stoked about surfing together today, that they hired us again for tomorrow. The waves should be better then, so we’ll see what we get.

Here is a sweet water shot of a lonely, rare barrel today. The swell is going to be stronger tomorrow and we got our fingers crossed hoping it’s sunny for the photos. We’ll see you tomorrow, “Come Pan” and “Pledge” out!
