Somewhere in Nicaragua
Happy Sunday everyone! Well, it wasn’t too sunny today for our Sunday Funday report, but our brightest stars came out to play. Jump in to see the happenings!
I watched and waited for a couple of hours in-between small little rain drizzles and tide changes before everything came together and the waves were looking exactly like this!
This place can really pay off… that is if you wait for the magic moment of the day!

Perfect little peelers breaking up and down the beach for anyone who made it out there around midday.
Perfection comes in all sizes here… soon we’re about to see the Costco size…. or if you’re in Nicaragua, the Price-mart Extra Big version.
Roberto isn’t wasting any of these perfect practicing days. Time to get ready for our next big swell which could be showing signs of life as early as tomorrow.
You can count on Josh and his brother John to be out there when it’s dead low and these waves get as hollow as the ocean can throw at this stretch of beach!
You know who this guys is, right? He’s a regular on the surf reports and he surfs more than any grom here on any given day, especially when there’s really good swell… which to all of our luck has been pretty much the entire month of June. John Gillem, prepped and ready for our July kick-off swell!
Heres’ to hoping July is just as good, if not better than June! Jeff all in, now that his flight out of here has been cancelled. Pretty much like everyone else who’s trying to leave perfect waves! jajaja (I kid, to all my friends who are trying to get back to family and friends safely – consolation prize is you’re stuck in the land of perfect waves at least!!!) 😉
John definitely not going to miss those air plane nuts if he has to stay!

Carlos, I think has laid more concrete in Tola alone than any other metropolitan city in all of Nicaragua. But rest assured any one of his architecturally & uniquely built custom homes is just as solid as his bottom turns!
Add in all his rebar and you can see how fluid and cohesive his surfing is with his award winning designs. They all connect!
Ok, if you wanna get really technical, why not marry a super ripping chica surfer, build rad homes and live a cool life in the jungle.
Meet the Mrs’s to Mr. Carlos. Rutciel is Carlos’s wife and business partner and she charges too!
At least that’s what she does when she’s not being a super mom and creating some of her incredible interior designs and landscaping.
Man on fire! Jackson Obando who’s seen more time under the hood of this muscle car machine wave than any other mechanic or technician who likes to get wet!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. There was a window early today and right at sunset. At mid-day when I took pictures the wind kicked up making for better turn sections than tubes. Still a few if you knew where to look.

Welcome to the Friday surf report. We had some smaller surf out there today. The sky’s were a little grey and overcast but the winds were breezy offshore and although the waves were small, the shape was perfect. Check it out!
