I went early in the morning right at high tide and just a few surfers were there. Solid 4-6 ft waves rolling down the beach, the surf conditions were not so clean but there were plenty of waves to pick from.

The direction of this swell is not the right one for first peak to work the way everyone like, but Candido Quedo was having a great time there.

Going left the barrels were long and fast and a lot of the times it was hard to catch them, even if you started running on the water.

But it doesn’t mean it could not be done. The same guy from last photo but this time locked in position and ready to get some cover.

A few frames later and he is still in there.

A few more frames and he’s out and clean.

Here is Peter getting barreled (and photographed).

He had to go through the chandelier created by his photographer.

… to finish the wave with a nice snap throwing the fins out the back.

There was only one girl out, he was in the same group with Peter and the photographer, and he was also ripping.

I finally met Alex from Puerto Rico, I thought he was just another one week tourist but after seeing him here every day for the last few months I wanted to meet him and get his name for the report.

Alex is always out there at first peak doing some crazy maneuvers. Nice meeting you Alex!

The perfect man’s cave.

Sometimes after the drop, you had to hit the breaks to be able to get barreled.

And that’s exactly what this guy did to get under the lip.

A little bit deeper.

And then… Whack!

Look how deep he is!

He totally dissapeared under there.

To finally coming out with a spit. Nice one!

Alex didn’t get a big barrel but he got a big air! (My back hurts just by looking at him)

One last sequence of Peter…

Tomorrow it stays the same, 4-6 ft, with offshore winds and clear waters.

Again, if you are thinking about coming, STOP thinking and just DO IT!

Tomorrow it’s Friday so, that means surf all day and party all night! See you tomorrow!

If you are dying to come to Nicaragua but don’t have any money to travel, or to get a vacation rental house on the beach, this is your opportunity… and you are helping a good cause!
