Let’s start the report by saying Happy 4th of July! Though we live abroad, we still want to wish America a big ole happy birthday. We hope y’all enjoy the day off of work, get a few waves, and spend some time with loved ones.

Pancho and Lou Bob had eyes on it early. What are y’all thinking? Too stretched or just perfect?

Let’s ask Johnny G instead. How about this bomb of a south left? The south peak was producing some long pretty left walls.

Immediately after that wave, the northern peak coughed up a sick right. I could stand here and shoot these waves all day every day.

Ok this looks more like it!! Go get some boys!

Lou Bob locking into one of those almondy fast lefts. Being a goofy footer, he is stoked to see this peak work! Being a regular footer, well, I’ll show you some other shots later in the report.

Before the wave clamps, always go for the floater or some sort of finishing stamp! Louie, safe travels back to St. Augustine and we’ll look forward to seeing you again soon bro.

The waves did not stop! Pancho snagged one right after Lou Dog and stuffed one under the lip with patriotic colors.

Moving the camera down the beach, Allison Phillips locked into my favorite wave of the day. She’s super fun to surf with, always stoked, and has a great perspective to offer. Check out the next photo down!

Unfortunately, the wave clamped but major props to her for PACKING it!! Full commitment. Go Allison!!

Looking over my shoulder at the south peak, some of our favorite waves are the river rights. Nigel agrees while showing us how it’s done steezed out without hands. Sicckkkk!!

Tim Walker snagged the one right after Nigel. You’ll see him riding long Panga lines all the way to the beach or committing to heavy barrels. Regardless, he’ll do it with a smile and a joke to tell.

Mannnn literally shooting photos wave after wave. Let’s see what Hot Karl makes of this one.

Shackeddd! This, combined with signing D’Angelo, is one way to make this hombre happy.

And his icing on the cake (if Kevin let’s him eat junk food) was the clean exit. Good stuff Carl!!

Let’s give y’all some more info. Remember how I’ve been blowing up the CREA raffle? You know, $1.5k in airfare credit, transports, 7 nights in Casa El Mirador, plus some more goodies. Basically, a great deal. Buy your tickets on theirsitebefore the drawing in two weeks!

How much longer do I have your attention for? I was editing photos today and I found close to 50 I liked… but I won’t do that to you. If you are frothing, here is the link to ourvacation rentals. Check next week’s forecast and then check that link.

But I suppose being in the present (and slotted) is one of life’s greatest blessings.

That nasty lip is about to give this guy a present… But awesome to see the wave’s fangs!

Looks like Christy has a few friends in town. Those two twins were playing in the shallows and rolling around in the sand all morning. Doesn’t sound like a bad life to me, huh?

Darren’s crew in Rio Dulce has been enjoying it all. His baby has been playing on the beach/playground, Mike and him had fun on a boat yesterday, and Rebecca has been enjoying in home massages all week. I believe family friendly is the word to describe Hacienda Iguana.

Turn around grom!! Soon you’ll be slipping into pockets like that guy.

Alright guys and gals, you enjoy your holiday (almost as well as I enjoy this ruler edge right). Let’s celebrate our country’s heritage tonight and enjoy those summer nights. Have a good rest of the week amigos and stay tuned for some more tubes!
RECENT REPORTS

Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
