Somewhere in Nicaragua
I’m going to be honest with you guys- this is day two of flat waves. No need to fret because haven’t you seen what’s arriving tomorrow?! And next week too?!
So it’s time to rest. How about the family friendly activities offered inside Hacienda Iguana: golf, massages, delicious restaurants, the private beach club, horse back tours, mountain biking, or community tours? If you want to get out, we’ll send you on day trips to San Juan del Sur, Granada, or Masaya. Or my favorite: go inshore or offshore fishing!! There’s always plenty to do even when the surf is down.
Marlon Brando still opts to surf. He saw these playful rippable rights trickling through so he took an early lunch.
Style Master Ortega!! He’s probably thinking: no big deal… I do this when the waves are quadruple this size…
I switched angles and shot this left. In the afternoons lately, we’ve had a little south wind and quick rain showers. However, today has been beautiful, sunny, and breezy all day. Hopefully those heavy clouds are gone for a while!
I want to update you guys one what’s going on this weekend. First, Sidebar is having a fiesta tonight (burger, beer and beats), Mag Rock is throwing down Saturday, AND Casa Ananas is having a mellow party on Sunday. Tati will be cooking her delicious Italian food while Dario is playing some chill music. End your weekend right with some tasty food and good tunes on Sunday evening! But don’t have too much fun because we should have some great waves…
Changing gears (because the surf isn’t happening), I want to show you guys two NSR rental properties. First up:Townhouse 6! This is a brand new pearly white property for us so check it out.
If you’re traveling on a budget in a small group but you still want to enjoy the nice amenities in the community, this property is what you’re looking for. Personally, I love the private layout. On one side, you have hammocks, sofas, and chairs to relax in. On the other, you have a private pool to play volleyball or whoop your friend’s butt in chess. To cap it off, you get a lot of shade (and a couple monkey howls) from the nearby trees.
But the upstairs is next level (ha)!! Rocking chairs, grill, fuseball, wicker furniture, and a third story hammock. Marisombra is well priced, has a great location to Colorado and Panga, and is a well stock house so round up a handful of buddies and reserve this property!! Can somebody come deliver us 24 cold Tonas?
Ok damas and caballeros, I’ve heard reports of a few forerunners already coming in so it’s time to wrap things up and make my way down to the beach. We have a weekend swell and a swell next week so you know where to stay tuned for the best shots in Nicaragua. Have a good weekend primos!!!

Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!
