Yes the swell we just had was pretty nuts! After you get done here (if you haven’t already seen it), click back to see what Baldo reported yesterday. It was an epic report to say the least!

I’ve been doing A LOT of swimming as of lately, with all the nice swell we’ve had, so I figured I’d keep the fins kicking out there through the weekend. Here’s a shot of my good friend Andre (who I met here many years ago) Nice to see you back down amigo!

One of my new friends from Florida and ripper, Matt Gaston and 2 of his good friends came down for a stealth mission and scored some of the best waves I’ve seen at one of our point breaks up north maybe this whole season, and it’s been good a lot (which is saying something).

Baldo, taking some well deserved time off from his many office and field work duties. Notice, that’s me on the far left getting the water angle of my trabajo hermano.

Here’s the water angle. Hey baldo how you like having two photogs keeping an eye on you?!?!!

While I’m at it, let’s take a look of some of the other split reference images between the water and the land shots and see what a contrast it is. Here my buddy Eduardo is taking off on a pretty average looking left. It’s a nice left, with a pretty nice long wall but I can only get the take off from the water from where I was sitting.

Here’s that same shot from my perspective. Buen culo amigo! jajaja!

Ok, now here’s another similar perspective from my point of view.

Here he is on the same wave but way further down the line, throwing some crazy buckets of spray on this giant man hack of a turn. Super sick angle I’d say on the one! Nice shot ClaudieLEE!

The winds really picked up and by the lighting and gloomy looking ominous clouds heading our way, I knew we were about to get a crazy downpour.

Anytime this happens, the winds go nuclear offshore, making any waves practically impossible to get into.

Like my buddy Andre here, unfortunately.

Check out how sick the barrel actually was on this. Now click back on the frame before. What a difference the two perspectives really do for a wave eh??

Either way, it doesn’t matter to Andre… he’s always stoked!!!

Here’s a cool perspective you can certainly only get from the water, AND I’m so happy I got this of my new friend Chris from Nor Cal (near where I’m originally from). Sick one buddy! Looks like the groms will be frothing on your shot from today now hahahaha!

Here’s a little example of “said” rainstorm that was quickly heading our way. To be honest, I love being out in the water anytime it gets like this.

Of course, the rains normally only last so long and the winds go back to normal offshore as opposed to nuclear offshore and the waves begin to glass off. Cesar reaping the rewards of an epic evening session.

Hows this sick little punt down the line?

Not a bad way to end the day and watch yet another amazing sunset after a nice rain shower and some crisp clean air.

Ok my friends. This is your weekend kickoff report. I’ll be back tomorrow to give you another dose of surfing goodness from you know where. Stop back by to see what’s happening. Cheers!! ~

Hello welcome to another week of surf in Nicaragua. The waves are small, all day we were waiting the high tide to see is there are sets with good size waves and the biggest waves are just three feet. The offshore wind is stable now, some surfers were extracting the juice to the wave. Check..
