Ahhh, this is the view that we all dream of. Does it get any better than weaving through tubes as clean as this one?
There was a lot of variance during my photo window this morning. Just as there were some beauties, such as two photos up, there were some bouncy, ripped up, and frothy ones. This photo doesn’t do this guy’s tube justice, in my opinion. He made a multi-section tube, but his wave just doesn’t qualify as aesthetically appealing as those emerald green cylinders.
Most of you guys who monitor my report’s are likely familiar with Bauti (from Uruguay) by now. I’m pretty sure this is his dad. He paddled out today on his big longboard and had a sick takeoff on this bomb! Pretty impressive that he made this critical wave on a board with that much nose.
Bauti didn’t let his dad take all of the limelight today though! He found one of the cleaner rights further South. Bauti surfs with a very unique style, as he displayed here by dropping his lead hand all the way to his board’s deck in an effort to fold-up and get low.
John Gillem got a stylish ride on this bomb down the beach. Holding it down out there for the long-boarders!
He made it far on this right, but unfortunately she gobbled him up at the end. I bet he still thoroughly enjoyed this one from the extended tunnel vision he was able to enjoy.
To close today’s surf action we have a stylish slash from a goofy-foot rider. I’d say he engaged the perfect part of his heel-side rail through this turn.
Alrighty everyone, thanks for your time and attention! It was another fun and satisfying day in paradise here in Hacienda Iguana. Tubes, turns, and maybe some Toñas to close out the day? I’ll be on the report tomorrow as well, with more good to epic conditions projected by me (and Surfline). Have a good one and see you mañana!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s mid-day report from Colorados. The waves were clean and fairly consistent. It definitely pulsed at various moments throughout the day. Nothing huge though.
Hey amigos. Welcome to Thursday’s late morning report from Colorados. It was clean this AM, but notably smaller. The sets still had enough size to offer up tubitos.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Wednesday was a let down compared to what was forecasted. It was not 4ft @ 16 sec as projected by Surf-lie haha. The sets were good when they came, but there was one quality set every 20 minutes roughly. It was a waiting..
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Feliz Miércoles!!! The sun was shining, all the people were out having a fun time down at the playa in la mañana, to say it best… it was a good day!
Welcome back for another beautiful day of surfing and sunny sky’s (at least before that ever repeating afternoon storm came in). The mornings seem to have been the best windows for the better surf (with the exception of that other day – super gnarly thunder, lighting and rain storm early in the morning) but other..
