Count down, only a few days away. Stop by and check it out! Oh, and don’t forget there’s free Flor de Caña, SUBU!!!
Lefts and rights were super fun and I do not even have to talk much about it. Check out this one rolling in by itself.
The best over-35-year-old surfers didn’t disappoint. We runned up the Kahunas and Gran Kahunas to start the day and they put up a nice show. Mike Latronic from Hawaii working on his way out on one of the many sweet waves we had.
The Kahunas did really good, and they were super stoked to get some nice ones. Closed out view of this guy from Ecuador pig dogging into a nice right hander.
The Master division didn’t have any bussines early in the day, so they all were chilling and enjoying of the beautiful day we had. Do not get surprised if you guys see these two surfers in the podium. Shea and Sunny taking a look of the lineup!
The surfers were not the only one trying to catch some waves, the local fishermans were also trying to get some nice ones. Hey Primo, does this shot remind you something?
We had many drainers coming in, and mostly all of them went empty all the way. What a shame!
Everyone down here has been working hard to make this event succesful. But everyone is getting tired!
The contest kept going and it was time for the girls to show what they got. This is La Negrita Diaz from Costa Rica with a cool backside snap little sequence.Shot 1, setting up her bottom turn.
Shot 2, small but cool slashy!
Next time you gotta make sure to land it Negrita. Keep up the good work out there!
A couple of girls showed up to the beach as well, supporting their friends in the contest. Welcome down ladies!
The ladies division was totally commanded by the Hawaiian Rochelle Ballard. I think this chick got the gold right in her pocket, there is no girl that can take her down if she keeps surfing like she did today.
It is so nice to see all the teams sharing culture and and good vibe on the beach. Peace and love to all of ya!!!
The waves got super fun when the tide was filling in. Don’t you believe me? Check out this shot and make your own call!
Right when the ladies were done, we had a couple of heats for the main category. USA surfer Rick Takahashi giving some extra work to his fins.
These guys know how is done. Don’t you think? Puerto Rican Carlos Cabrero throwing the lip off the back on this sick right hander.
The sun has been relentles and we are not kidding you folks. Just take a look of this pal!
Heat of the day gave us some sick action having USA Shea Lopez and Venezuelan Magnus Martinez battling for the first place. Shea with a sick turn on this left.
Magnus came back and got a sick last wave to win the heat. One of the five powerful turns he had in his last wave.
Adrian Fernandez from Ecuador is showing us a sick performance during the contest, so far. Check him out going big with a solid floater on this section.
