Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, July 21, 2016

Hey everybody and welcome back to the NSR surf report! This is Parker logging in to upload today's action. Check out the goodies!!

A new swell filled in with a new direction. The previous swell had a lot of west of in; however, today had a touch more south in it.

Pancho Sanchez liked yesterday's barrel fest report so he wanted to get another piece of the action. Rinse and repeat, right?

Yeah jefe!!! He was stoked to start the day off with a tube.

This new swell has more juice to it. The waves today were consistently head high with sets a touch over.

Say no more... Kai DeLorenzo was back on it. It's his last day so he's now three times as hungry!!

Kai has two standout talents: sniffing out every makeable barrel and catching honeys.

Kai, teach me something man... How do you squeeze into and make them?! He's a bigger guy but he'll do whatever it takes to make it.

This is the take off section of the wave. Make sure you make the drop or you'll be dodging a guillotine and bouncing off a sharp reef.

It isn't exactly softer down the line... but it's still perfect! The inbetweeners brought consistent nuggets.

Another Nicaraguan legend, Lincoln Gardner, was out this morning. Look at the slabby beast he's about to tame!

My Dad always tells me that age is merely a number. Gray, I have big post retirement barrel riding expectations for you bro!!

Nikita Panderosa joined us again. As usual, he was unleashing a furious rail game.

Yeah hombre!! Great to meet you man and hopefully see you up north this winter!

Nikita was shredding all morning until an unknown surfer showed up. After a quick effective chat, everybody was happy and sharing waves again. If you don't have a respectful mellow surf culture, leave it at home when you visit NICA.

As the tide filled in, so did Pancho's tube count. Check it out.

Bro!! Turn around and look the other way!!

Lincoln validates that time in Nicaragua and barrel riding is a positively correlated relationship. Also, skipping lunch to take photos and surf doesn't hurt either.

We met a new friend who is visiting from Portugal. On a later wave, he fell and unfortunately experienced the reef first hand (no pun intended).

Pancho, thanks for taking us out today and stoking out the DeLorenzo family!!

Alright chicos, it's time to sign off and go get some more surf!! Thank y'all for checking out the barrel fest reports and have a good weekend! Adios amigos!
