OK, this is Hot Carl, preparing to dismount. This is the lower platform set to about 40′. HC had a few practice dives with Juan this morning and ensured me he was ready to go.
Here goes Hot Carl, head first for the 4 story plunge. It looks like he’s a little past vertical though, which could mean a very painful “back flop”.
But NO, Hot Carl tucks and rolls into a front flip! Damn kid, that takes some serious Cajones.
Here is the final shot of Hot Carl setting up for the perfect, “no splash” entry. Very impressive my friend. I didn’t know you had it in you. Acapulco, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
With all the diving this morning, we got a late start out of Acapulco. After one of our heaviest days of driving yet we finally made it to this “secret” spot. Judging from the sounds ofthunder coming from the ocean tonight…we’re guessing there’s some new swell in the water.
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
