The swell has increasingly backed off from when we had some of (quite possibly) the best swell of our season here this past week. But as always, in good old fashioned Nica-Land style, we always have something fun to ride!

I like to think the nose bleed seats here at our arena are sometimes some of the best seats in the house. From a cool pulled back artistic way of looking at it, that is.

Looks like for sunset cocktail happy hour, they were serving up 3 for 1 Nica Libres.

They were also having the Hacienda Iguana Beach dirty martini. This one was obviously shaken, not stirred.

All eyes are usually peeled on the evening session surfers, especially while the good time libations are a flowing.

I prefer to watch him surf in the 20+ plus zone, but still… you can’t complain with his efforts in the water either way.

Like when I hiked up the way to scout out this new secret slab I’ve been been keeping my eye on. It breaks only when we have smaller swell and the water comes in from a deep water canon that makes it jack to incredible size and perfection; sometimes making it only surf-able by towing most of the time. Not very many people really know about it, so it’s kept pretty secretive, but when it’s on… it’s ON!!!

Soooo….all secrets aside (haha), back to the real action from this afternoon. There were some gals RIPPING out there. Some even putting on a little clinic action for some onlookers. Que nota, amigos!

Contrary to popular belief, the Nicaraguan folks have some seriously cool style, especially for the beach! Dude, I want this umbrella!!!

And despite the small surf we currently have, there was some pretty cool ripping going on out there. Like this guy…

and this guy…

and this guy.

And even more impressive was that there were actually some pretty decent barrels to be had out there as well. Like this guy…

and this guy…

wait for it…..

You guessed it… and this guy.

This might be their 3rd surf today. It could very well be their first, because maybe they just got here? Either way, nothing better than paddling out with a few of your amigos just in time to watch the sun set and catch some of the days last waves for the day.

Still lots of shredding going down right up until the sun decides to call it a day.

Small but fun surf with peaks for everyone to either go right..

or left on. Steffi, here cracking a really nice one off the top!

I have to say Peters awesome right hand barrel on his Wavestorm with that crazy looking pink single fin setup was my personal favorite WOD. Yea Peter!

Well, the sun calls the shots around here, so that means it’s closing time at this bar. Until mañana amigos. Looking forward to another fantastic weekend with you guys and gals… see ya out here in person, or in web-land (hopefully earlier than later) IF our power is working tomorrow. Chao 4 Now ~

Hello primos. Thanks for check the surf report of NSR. We have some heavy waves come to exploit to the beach. I went walking down the beach to see the action closer during the low tide and here is how the waves were rolling. Some strongest lefts predominate the line up. The offshore wind was..
