Sometimes exploring for surf is a good thing, as you never know what you could be missing if you always stay in your comfort zone.

Doing it by boat however on the Emerald coast here in Nicaragua, is one way that I highly recommend (at least once in your lifetime) It’s quite spectacular!

Doing the rock dance is a common entry way of passage into some lineups. This one happens to save about a 5-10 min paddle out and also allows you to see all the nooks and crannies & boils that you should avoid once you’re surfing these waves.

Nolan didn’t waste anytime getting to know these waves, as this is his first time visiting not only Nicaragua, but this surf break as well.

Ethan feeling right at home on these lefts.

Luke is quite the character… we had some good laughs all day long. But his surfing is nothing short of amazing (for his young age).

The conditions today were pretty incredible, although we had some rainy sky’s early in the AM.

But it’s the only way we can have all this beautiful lush greenery. So I’m not complaining.

The rain didn’t stop any of the shredding one bit. Ethan ripping away while the precipitation wrecked havoc on my port, but it still looked pretty cool!

Hayden “airing out” while the rain subsided a little bit.

Of course the rain wasn’t finished coming through just yet, but somehow the lighting still looked pretty incredible for having really grey cloudy sky’s.

As long as you’re having fun… that’s all that matters. Nolan have A LOT of FUN!

After taking a well deserved lunch break, Luke, Hayden and I decided to go play in the shore-pound closeouts.

Hayden with the “cover shot” for todays trip!!!! EPIC one little amigo!

Reef going for the massive floater, well…. over the reef. He stuck it too. These kids know what they’re doing that’s for sure!

Luke on a sweet afternoon glassy Nica gem.

The consensus from the group of this spot was, “It’s super rippable with all kinds of things to do on this wave. Here Hayden doing one of the many things he did on this wave today.

Ethan with a pretty hefty move over some submerged rocks that are only a couple feet below. **spoiler alert… no one went home with any stitches or Nica tattoo’s today.

I think I saw more airs over sketchy rock/reef sections today than I’ve ever witnessed at this break.

Of course the tube time was just as impressive, once the tide got just right.

Hayden and crew LOVE barrels, which is the main reason why they came here to Nicaragua.

But they’re not any fly by night surfers. They hold some pretty qualified stats to their names, surfing other places like Pipeline and many other South Pacific and Indian ocean waves of consequence (if you’re not on your A-Game).

Luke asked me if I happen to get this cracker off the top. Yes little brother. I see all your waves!

I was impressed with your turn at the top off the point and I especially liked this one too!!!

The kids being stoked on Nicaraguan waves. Absolutely. Me stoked to be nabbing their shots. Mental!

Every day has been progressively better than the day before with the swell and each day of surfing for these guys. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for tomorrow.

Well, it’s been a crazy long day. Thanks for joining us for our little surf excursion today. I’m on report again mañana, so check back and see how it goes. PEACE ~
