Nicaragua Surf Report for Thursday, August 08, 2024

Josh S

Hi everyone! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Colorados. The wind was a bit swirly this morning and onshore in the afternoon. All in all the waves were fun until around mid-day.

Relaxed style and good flow from this chica through a smooth backside carve.

The opposite side of the aesthetic spectrum is maximum power and explosiveness. This young buck bucked his tail hard and flashed up a perfect spray ring.

The wave insider waves today were fairly soft, so you had to be delicate and precise when riding through your moves irrespective of how much power you released. You can see this guy’s rail starting to catch meaning he is about to walk the narrow tight rope of completing this move.

Heyner taking the trophy for the highest air of the day. Nice boost amigo!

Jeison rarely counter-rotates, but he opted for it here. He still managed to make it look stylish so I approve haha.

This surfer doing a great job of surfing “in the pocket”.

Heyner wasn’t content with only flying today. He slashed some lips hard too.

Josh S

Jeison working on his front-side spinners as much as he can when he gets the appropriate sections.

This guy laid it all out on the line with this big end-section floater. The mystery remains of whether he stomped the upcoming critical re-entry or not.

Jeison with a nice pocket zinger.

Followed up by a cruisey second carve to complete the combo.

That wraps up Thursday’s surf action. This little guy kept me company while I took photos today. Hacienda Iguana living up to its name! Thanks for checking in and see you tomorrow.
