The waves weren’t that big today but there was plenty of power and lots of little barrels for everyone. This guy was getting shacked all over the place (whoever he is, because we can’t see him).

Another fun little peak goes unridden. The crowds were light today, probably because of the bad weather.

Meanwhile, Pancho, Heather and Gretchen were back in action with the crew from VA Beach. The baseball field we are helping with is right in front of a great rivermouth/beach break. Check out our new “Chocolate Milk” sandbar that just formed this year! Even the whitewater is brown!!!

Here we have Willy Fluharty posing with Gretchen and Heather. Willy and Heather worked pretty hard to organize this project and it was really cool to watch it all come together!

This shot was towards the end of the day – putting the last post in place. Today was a long day and we accomplished a lot. All the posts for the backstop are now installed, the pitcher’s mound has been improved and all we have left to do is fasten the fencing. I think we are going to try and get a game going with the local team when we are all done, so be sure to check back for that.

Here’s one last wave before we sign off. The winds are looking bad for the next few days but maybe we’ll get some good morning sessions…thanks for checking NSR and please check back tomorrow.
