Nicaragua Surf Report for Saturday, August 10, 2024

Josh S

Hey everyone! Welcome to Saturday morning’s surf report from Colorados. The forecast was correct yet again. Offshore winds all day and a little smaller than yesterday. This one here was a keeper though!

Josh S

Marcel cruising down and across a perfectly fine left. Nothing epic, but really playful conditions this morning.

Josh S

Jeison pushing on the gas pedal through this river-mouth right runner. One of the few good barrels of the morning. He made this tube and weaved through it for a good three to four seconds.

Josh S

The barrels took patience and fortune to find, so turns and roundhouses such as this chica’s were more common today.

Josh S

The sharp snap chica from prior days back at it again. "Rip - curl" is about right for her haha!

Josh S

Nick seems to be back down for a bit. He’s hucking some buckets too.

Josh S

To complete the ride Nick flowed smoothly through an end-section floater.

Josh S

A young guy down south working on his carves and rail game. Many of today’s surfers had composed and relaxed styles. Nobody seemed to be in a rush today.

Josh S

Well not everyone was chilled out. This guy pushed his fins and rail to their limits on this backside turn.

Josh S

The young guy sitting at the south peak managed to find one of the other few quality tubes of the morning. He stayed compact and took a good line through this tube. Never too deep or slow, never to far ahead of the section.

Josh S

Leave it to Jeison to find another needle in the haystack. After an exaggerated stall to start, he drove through the rest of the barrel with force.

Josh S

That’s the best action I’ve got from this Saturday here in Iguana. I was hoping for a little more leftover power from yesterday, but it was still fun. Tomorrow Tony Z returns to bring us Sunday’s shredding. It will probably be a bit smaller tomorrow, so I would expect more long boarders to be on the loose.
