Somewhere in Nicaragua
We fianally have offshore wind today, it’s running about chest to shoulder high on sets and all the locals were out having fun in the water. Check out the line up.
Here is this cute little girl with the best shot of the day. She’s from Cal,Santa Barbara, she is 16 years old and she’ve been surfing just for 5 years. She’s awesome and her name is Demi Boelsterli.
We have offshore wind, so everybody wants to get a couple waves. Big news: Beach clean-up this saturday, August 18th! Nicaragua is one of the 130 countries participating in the global initiative to clean up the beaches. Glen Campbell along with the vet clinic form PEPO are speardheading the event here in Nicaragua. We’re cleaning of several of the beaches in San Juan el Sur area including the main bay in town, Remanso, Marsella, Playones, Maderas, Majagual, Ocotal, etc. Glen will have over 30 divers in the water doing clean up just offshore as well! If you or anyone else wants to participate we’ll meet at 9AM on saturday at Scuba Shack in San Juan del Sur (or you can simply go to the beach and pick up some trash). We’ll head out from there and clean the beaches until about noon. At 2PM there will be a celebratory BBQ at Iguana Bar for everyone who participated. Thanks so much for your help.

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a great Fourth! Saturday’s report is coming your way from Colorados as per usual. It was smaller today, but very shreddable. Still a few tubitos too.
Happy 4th of July! The size of the surf dropped notably today. There were still good sets, but patience was key (again). Hard to believe there were no takers on this one!

By now we are in full cruising mode, crushing the 10 hour drives like trips to the corner. We made it from the mountains of Guatemala to the coast of Salvador and check out what we found – Local Salvadoreans flying the NSR Colors. Good stuff guys!
