Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, August 16, 2024

Josh S

Hey everyone! I hope you guys had a great Friday. Well Surfline drew blanks all three of the past few days. Each day was supposed to be fairly mellow, but the swell never really dropped off that much.

Josh S

Turns were the standard move on most of the waves today, as tubes were still a bit rare. Let those fins drift!

Josh S

This shredder wasn’t satisfied with simply ditching the fins, so he upped the ante and chucked a big air reverse.

Josh S

How low can you go? Limbo time for this rider!

Josh S

Bruno won the heat this morning. The early bird decision was the right move today. This was the best window of the day.

Josh S

Grab rail cutty! So the goofy-foot rider wasn’t only training his radical moves today, but also honed his style.

Josh S

This guy pulled into the right of the day. You can see it starting to open up nice and wide as it unwinds.

Josh S

He weaved through this beautiful right for a while, but it eventually outran him. If he pumped hard and took a perfect line he might’ve made it though. Had he made it, it would’ve been a 10 point ride.

Josh S

O’neil getting plenty of screen-time on today’s report thanks to the goofy-foot ripper staying active out there.

Josh S

The lefts weren’t as hollow today, but this double-up was pretty sick. Bruno was a sniper out there finding the best waves.

Josh S

The standard regular foot air launch to close today’s surf action. This guy is becoming a regular feature of the surf report haha!

Josh S

Ok amigos, we cruised through the “flat” spell without experiencing many flat moments haha! More swell should be arriving tomorrow evening which will last for a few days. Fingers crossed that there are even more barrels to be had! Have a good one.
