The view to Costa Rica has seen MUCH better days, for sure!

To my surprise, there was actually one dude out..! Good on you hermano!

But sadly, this is what he had to compete with.

Hey Pancho…. is this a relative???? hahaha look at the tongue.

And with that. . . it was a single wave solo sesh that I completely understand the “One and Done” factor with todays conditions.

Sooooo with that being said, you all know me by now and you know I’m never going to leave you hanging without giving you some sort of goods for the day! Kinda ironic and ideal from these next few shots (especially this one here of Noah – one of the coolest cats to come in from the states and pick up the work flow for NSR woking the surf shop and doing a damn fine job while he was here), not to mention, gathering a plethora of some of the bests waves this season has seen.

Yeaaaaah brother! Super stoked to add you to the roster of NSR surf and work flow team. You killed it out there when you weren’t slaying it at the main headquarters!

So, in retrospect, all these shots were taken on one of my day’s off exactly one week ago. Certainly miss seeing this, today!

Including this special indicator, which went off for that entire bombing south swell that lit up every stretch of coastline from Panama all the way to the E.E.UU.

A happy lifeguard is the perfect lifeguard to have watching over your back, especially while you play in mother ocean, here in Nicaragua. The privately funded (and VERY MUCH appreciated and NEEDED) life rescuing team that we’re fortunate to have here is no joke! Megan & Mike whom are perfectly positioned at one of the beach front homes here have gone so far above and beyond with their benefactor and personal dedication to the safety and well being to everyone in this community. I don’t think there is an award, an accolade or anything that can even come close to showing just how much they have given back to this community in order to show how much appreciation we should all show them. Needless to say, the new lifeguard towers look super “Bitchen” Ya???!!!! These palapas will help these guys out so much now, who spend countless hours in the super hot Nica Sun, watching and keeping guard! Much respect and love to all you guys!!!!

All the factors between just a little wind and swell can make the slightest of difference, right??

Jason here (one of the lifeguards shown earlier in the newly built lifeguard towers), surfs & rescues. He excels at both equally well!

Timing is everything. My latest new buddy Walt (from New Zealand) and his girlfriend drove this old Chevy past the levy (in Los Angles) to Nicaragua and is now currently in Costa Rica with his final destination being Panama. Life is certainly what you make of it. Sprinter Van or old school Chevy, surfing is their guiding light. Always follow the light!!!!

Or, if you’re not careful, you’ll be a meal for the vultures, like this poor tortuga vieja. The circle of life and my Wifi I think is all running on the same program! jajaja – super inside joke if you know your Wifi providers here. On that note…… if, that’s a BIG IF it’s not onshore tomorrow, we may have some decent pics. FROM THE ARCHIVES

Bienvenido al reporte de surf del Lunes! Yup, another week, another day of waves! Super fun consistent waist to chest + size waves on tap for today. Still a little gloomy for the most part, but the sun made a few cameos a couple times… but the most important part was all about the surf!
