Pretty strong winds with some chest to head high surf out there. Maybe only the birds were interested???
There were actually a couple of people out…. this guy getting to be one with the foam ball.
When you look at it all day, waiting for something good to show for a report, you can actually see that there are some pretty decent waves. It’s all about patience and being out there on the right tide and window of opportunity.
Hard to believe we’re almost already into September. The waves have been pretty amazing this past month.
Trust me when I say this is maybe one of the best times to be here. At least it’s my favorite time of the year.
This place get’s almost desolate and the surf will most likely still be be pumping.
How’s this guy getting a little cover up right in front of his amigo.
Although most of the peak season circus has come and left for the most part. The ones who are still here and are still panning to come have lots of good things waiting for them as there is still plenty of good swell on the way.
Just imagine a little less winds, calmer seas, and almost empty lineups with 3-5ft maybe bigger waves roping in all through September. But then again… I could be wrong. OR you can take a little historical stroll back through our archives from last year and see for yourself. 🙂
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Monday evening’s surf report from Colorados. It wasn’t as big as I was expecting, but there was still some push.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
