Somewhere in Nicaragua
Howdy everyone. Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. This Wednesday’s surf report is from Colorados as per usual during surf season. There were some gems to be found this morning, but it was a wait between sets at times.
Yuji definitely caught the most waves of the morning. His fins found a brief moment of freedom during his snap here.
I don’t remember what happened here, but it’s a shame because this was one of the few waves of the morning that barreled.
There were quite a few shredders out this morning. He leveraged his speed perfectly and opened up all the way back to the whitewater with his shoulders and hips.
It seems that Sophie has also been working on her body mechanics during turns. It’s paying off as she is displacing more water during her turns and her surfing looks more fluid.

Lesther probably took the cake for the most powerful turn of the day here. You can see his concentration and contraction of his core muscles through the move.
Lesther and Yuji were battling for first and second place out there this AM haha. Layback Lesther 🙂
Kevin just got back recently and steadily recovering his mojo. He was away for some time, but it still looks like he has the power to blast through his turns.

Time for Yuji to conjure up some of his wizard magic to ride through this turn on his tippy toes.

You might do a double take here, as it is very, very rare to see Lesther miss a barrel. This illustrates that it can happen even to the best of us. Tomorrow we should see a noticeable bump in the size. I’ll see y’all tomorrow.

Welcome to messy Mondays report. Unfortunately the wind came up early unlike yesterday.
Welcome or it should be adiós, to our last Sunday Funday for the month of August. As we quickly approach September (man I can’t even believe we’re just about to hit September) it seems like this season just flew by way too quickly. However, we had some pretty amazing moments this month alone. Todays waves..
It is the weekend and the weather forescast was calling for rain and thunderstorms but we woke up to a sunny and beautiful day again here in Nicaragua. The waves are 5-6 ft with light offshore winds and it is just another day in paradise.
