Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, August 29, 2008

Hi everybody and thanks so much for joining us for the Friday surf report.  Well, today we decided to spend the day at the bay and it was definitely fun to stay there. There were some decent sets that came through today and a bunch of locals were out shredding it up on a couple.  It was chest to shoulder high on sets, with ON SHORE wind and the water is starting to look like a chocolate milkshake.  Check out what we got today!!!

A couple of ladies were able to paddle out today and were taking advantage on some of the better waves that rolled in.  Here is this unknown but cute girl riding a nice left hander.

Larry “Carita de Venado “ Davila got back to the action today and was one of the local surfers who paddled out today and was trying to do some stuff on the mushy waves.  Here he is caught with a cool vertical move.

Here we have “El Grillo” taking one of the cleaner waves of the day all the way to the beach.  Yeah folks, the bay is definitely the best place to go out and surf when we have these kind of storm patterns.

These are some of the local kids practicing for the big festival coming up on September 14th.  That day is our Independence Day in Nicaragua.  We have lots of people celebrating with big parties and a lot of fireworks.

This is a shot of Roberto “Lucha Libre” making sure that the kids are having a good practice.  Our very own Roberto was a drummer in the same band for 8 years, so he wants to make sure that they are playing up to par.

For the last shot we want to show everyone out there some of our local flowers that are blossoming this time of year.  With all the rain comes the beauty.  The forecast says that the winds are going to be the same, check back tomorrow.
