There were surprisingly few surfers out this morning and closer toward mid-day. So that meant quite a few empty runners like this right.
It was fast today so the boogeys had a good time pulling in deep on the hollow ones.
There weren’t many good waves caught this morning, but this guy definitely won the heat this AM.
He caught a beautiful right set wave, but it wasn’t going to be an easy make. The barrel wasn’t as hollow as it could have been.
He still managed to get deep and all the way behind the curtain. You see him through the lip right? A bit of I-SPY for you guys 🙂
He’s about made it through section one. Can he continue to the end?
Section 2 came quick. The good news is that the lip is pitching a bit wider now giving him a bit more lateral room to operate with.
A chandelier section dropping on his head. Time to see if his toes have iron grip!
He’s just gotta push through this last bit. Falling here always sucks. When you do the hard work and get clipped at the very end.
And he’s out. That’s a 10 pointer by all means for the consistency and quality of waves we had this AM.
This guy ripping on an unusual surfboard shape. Fins out on the ironing board haha! The release you feel during these moves is great.
One last right drainer to close today’s report. I didn’t see it myself, but I heard that the size picked up some this evening at sunset. Hopefully a few more keepers tomorrow morning for us surfers!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey amigos! Welcome to Tuesday evening’s surf report from Colorados. The swell was bigger and stronger today, but it was very slow between the sets. I think the lack of a secondary swell combined with the sandbars not being in perfect shape made for long waits.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
Hello Tuesday, Super fun morning today. The wind was very light until late morning. Rippable left and right surf. @tonyzphotos bring you the report.
