Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, August 30, 2024

Josh S

Hi everyone! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. The water color and wind were great this morning. It was also more consistent than yesterday yielding fun waves.

Josh S

This guy has been out longboarding over the past few days and seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself. He’s got the mouth agape “stoked” face going on here.

Josh S

It was more consistent today, but wasn’t necessarily super consistent. It still paid off to stay busy on some insiders and work on turns.

Josh S

The longboarder maxing out his style and fun points on this left. Riding high and fast!

Josh S

My counter-rotation radar is triggered! But this guy pulled off this turn in a fairly aesthetic manner so he gets a pass.

Josh S

On the complete other end of the spectrum, this surfer demonstrated excellent range and sequence of rotation through his roundhouse cutback. Functional and powerful is better in my opinion.

Josh S

Joe has been surfing every day and enjoyed some smooth time on rail here.

Josh S

The primary swell must have some West in it, as rights definitely dominated the lineup. This guy not only put his rail to work, but pushed his fins hard through the final part of this turn to throw extra spray.

Josh S

Staying nimble is the key to successfully navigating the insiders, especially the frothy ones.

Josh S

I told you the water color and wind were perfect this morning! This wave looks like it came straight off of an idealized painting.

Josh S

Schwappah! The waves' faces and lips weren’t safe from today’s rippers.

Josh S

Waves like these make me optimistic that September will be a good month for us. Tomorrow’s forecast looks similar to today, perhaps a touch smaller. If it’s fairly clean and consistent again I don’t think we will be complaining! Thanks for checking in and see you tomorrow.
