Well, I keep it pretty regimented: I woke up early, shot photos early, and we had a fun session afterwards. The norm, right?
Today featured more barrels! Though the swell is a little smaller and the tide was slightly lower but the waves opened up.
And it was buttery smooth wind this morning. As in, it was was oil slick glasssss!!!
That’s a doggy door if I’ve ever seen one… Nice wave amigo.
The waves are still shorter period so plenty were rolling through. Everybody wanted to get their lions share before breakfast AND everybody got their lions share.
All the beach goers were watching the surfistas gauge the lip. A few surfers showed off another morning of powerful turns.
And cutbacks too.
Besides the wave/weather conditions, it was awesome to see a ton of rights rolling through. This season has been marked by south directioned swells so it has been tougher for us regular footers. But, Nicaragua is the Land of the Lefts…
Sooo this morning was kinda sorta alright. Lots of rights came through and plenty to squeeze into.
Baywatch took advantage of them too. He surfed for two hours and then we all returned to Marisombra to crush the NSR meal plan breakfast. The bacon and pitaya juice were epic!!
Looking ahead, the surf will be mellow (just like this) for a few days. The wind should be offshore, the waves should be fun, and the barrels will be a plenty. Then, something beefier is predicted to come down the road…
So until then, we’ll enjoy what Neptune gives us. The best attribute about here is the consistent surf- it never goes totally flat. The offshore wind and barrels aren’t too bad either.
Sorry- one more right to throw in today’s report!!!
Ok damas and caballeros, time to wrap things up. Go for a surf, find a hammock, or climb a coconut tree for a refreshing drink. Whatever you’re doing today (and this weekend), have fun and we appreciate y’all tuning in. Hasta luego amigos!!
RECENT REPORTS
Hey everyone! Welcome to Friday’s mid-day report from Colorados. The waves were clean and fairly consistent. It definitely pulsed at various moments throughout the day. Nothing huge though.
Hey amigos. Welcome to Thursday’s late morning report from Colorados. It was clean this AM, but notably smaller. The sets still had enough size to offer up tubitos.
Hey amigos! Josh back behind the lens for the next few days. Wednesday was a let down compared to what was forecasted. It was not 4ft @ 16 sec as projected by Surf-lie haha. The sets were good when they came, but there was one quality set every 20 minutes roughly. It was a waiting..
