Nicaragua Surf Report for Sunday, September 03, 2017

Brian Scott

Welcome and Feliz domingo! Bringing you some more surf action from Southern Nicaragua. We had some grey sky’s with some pretty good offshore winds and some consistently medium size surf as the tide was dropping out towards the end of the day. Mira esto!!

Brian Scott

There were definitely some overhead waves coming through, and with the tide going out, it was getting petty hollow out there as well.

Brian Scott

Any takers at the Mysto left?? Come’ on I’ll shoot water shots!

Brian Scott

When you see people standing practically in your barrel(s) and I mean not surfing, but observing your tubos, you know it’s low tide.

Brian Scott

Sometimes the best place to be is on top of the wave, like this guy. Check all that sand churned up in that wave. Watch out belowwww mate!

Brian Scott

Your typical wave here at this break, usually looks a lot like this, anywhere between 2 feet and 10 feet.

Brian Scott

People didn’t even have to paddle out today… they simply waded out to the line up!

This little chica has been getting coached (I assume by her father) who has been ever so patiently filming and analyzing her surfing for quite some time now down here.

Brian Scott

Looks like the coaching is paying off.

Much like this little grom, I’ve been watching his carving, air and barrel game improve for the last month or so. Check out this sick little barrel sequence as he gets shacked in and then doggy door’s the end closeout section. Slide 1

Last one. Nice exit little dude!

Perfect little waves all up and down the beach today.

Josh giving a little “pig dog” lesson to a grom wading out to catch another wave.

Frothy churned up sandy little nugget close out wabhassshh. Campbells said it best… Mmmm Mmmm Good!

While Kelly Slater has his manmade surf ranch back in California, luckily we have ours here.

Brian Scott

Caught this guy jogging back over to the mini pipeline (since this spot up the way doesn’t favor the low tides that well) asking if it was still good down that way… I said, it’s actually getting better. You just better hurry, since you only have about 30 more min of light!

Okie Dokie my fellow surfarians. It’s been a fun weekend and looks like we should have some more fun surf action coming atcha this week. I’ll be slinging the ol’ water house mañana all day as I’ll be heading off to some different locations; and since I’ll be covering Baldo while he’s still on vacation I’ll have some goods to show you, so definitely check back in later tomorrow. Gotta go get some rest so I can swim for 5-6 hours mañana! Buenas Noches! ~
