Nicaragua Surf Report for Wednesday, September 07, 2011

What’s up folks?  Lucha is here bringing you some of the action we had at the beach today.  We went to the beach in the morning, trying to take advantage on the winds and the tide conditions.  Unluckily this time when we got to the beach the winds were on and the beach was almost empty.  Check it out!!!

There were only 4 guys out and they did try to have fun out there but it was very hard to them because the currents were pretty strong.  This is Flipe El Pipe Chompipe racing down the line on this left.

Felipe’s younger brother was one of those 4 guys we had in the water.  Here he is caught with a cool little floater on this little nugget.

This girl made it all the way out but she could not scored a better wave.  Check her out with a solid stand up on this decent one.

Since the currents were too strong not many people made it out.  This one from Argentina tried for about 10 minutes but she didn’t make it.

The last shot from this spot goes to Felipe working on his backside.  It was so weird this morning because we didn’t have many people out.

We moved down south and went to check out the bay in San Juan del Sur.  There were some small but nice looking waves coming in.

Carita de Venado Davila was ripping on those small ones.  Here he is blasting fins out with a sick frontside move.

The winds came back to offshore this afternoon and tomorrow we are driving up north hoping to score some sick barrels.  Keep an eye on us!

We had some unsettled weather in the first part of the day, but as Lucha mentioned, the good wind made a appearance around midday and stayed that way until the sun went down. Our own Pancho Sanchez made it out sporting one of the new NSR Colorado T's. Here he is looking for the section. Drop by our shop so you can sport the killer threads too.

Rex Calderon our double (Juniors and Open) Nicaragua champ made an appearance at the beach, found himself a quiet corner up the way and proceeded to put on an aerial clinic for all the boys. Felicidades once again to Rex for beating out the best in Latin America to win the Junior division at the recent ALAS competition at Maderas.

Tony was out there too, making an impact on the lineup. After getting gobbled up on his first few barrel attempts things started clicking. This was the first of many made barrels for the Rusty homie. Good training for Indo today, Tony.....have a killer trip.

Darren and his buddies were standouts today getting shacked out of their heads. Darren was putting the two handed stall to good use today to get nice and deep. He spent plenty of time behind the curtain, we decided to pick one of the few shots you actually see him.

Caveman Carl was out trying on the new nickname (Thanks Lance!). We think he likes it in there.

Here is Alex finding his way into the pocket. Welcome back to Nicaragua man, it looks ilke you haven't missed a beat.

Sunrise to sunset, you know NSR is here to bring you all the action from Nicaragua. We're stoked to see the wind pattern may be changing for the better. Check with us tomorrow to see what's on tap.
