“She’s a little runaway…”

It’s hard to believe that the waves have been so glassy in the mornings, as evidenced here, and so choppy at mid-day haha. Volatile weather conditions.

This surfer caught a relatively good left, but was still curious about whether or not he missed a better wave out the back haha. There was a good right that came in behind his wave, but he would’ve been too wide to catch that one anyways. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side!

Tubes were pretty scarce this morning because the size was down from yesterday. This guy had the correct idea to focus on turns.

He carried his speed well through his second carve making for a nice combo. That is generally what I focus on at high-tide, improving my combos of maneuvers.

Lift-off!

A brief moment of shade for this rider all the way down at the river-mouth right. Double-ups were the only waves that would pitch wide enough for barrel opportunities.

A sick boost from this goofy-footer. Representing Mayhem well!

This lucky rider down at the river-mouth right peak made the only barrel of the morning.

His line was a little dicey in my opinion because he locked his hips and drifted a bit low in the barrel. He did a good job of tapping the breaks to get behind the curtain though.

Relish in the victory! Nice work guy. Many of us (myself included) love that feeling of standing tall after exiting the tunnel. Hopefully we get some more like this tomorrow.

Set of the day haha! Well if you didn’t get out there early today, then you probably didn’t get out at all, as the wind started blowing hard onshore by 10:00am. Tomorrow’s forecast looks similar, but hopefully we get a bit of a bump in the size and a longer window in the morning to shred. Let’s see what action Tony captures mañana.
RECENT REPORTS

Hey amigos! Welcome to Thursday’s surf report from Playa Colorado. The swell was about the same as yesterday. I’d argue it was even slightly larger today. We are still getting ghosted by the swell though. I think tomorrow could be the day that our fortune turns.

Hey, hey, hey! Long time no see viewers! Josh back behind the lens after Tony hard carried for most of this month. Thanks Tony! Wednesday’s surf report is coming from Colorados. There were a few waves today, but nowhere near as good as what was forecasted. I looked at Surfline’s swell map and my best..
FROM THE ARCHIVES

Howdy everyone! Here’s Thursday’s surf action from Colorados. The size of the surf has dropped even further again, but the local Nicaraguan shredders cleaned house again today.
