Somewhere in Nicaragua
Happy Sunday Funday from beautiful Nicaragua! We have a new swell filling in and the weather was gorgeous all day. All the makings for another great surf report. Come see!!!
I originally planned to go shoot up at the reef this afternoon, and this was what I saw when I got down there.
However, I rolled the dice and decided to make the walk all the way down to the beachie. Which one do you think might have been the better call??
I think the latter would be correct. Although with this new swell there were some bombs coming in up at PD’s, I am a really big sucker for nice big barrels though.
The Oakley peeps starting to show up and all ready to head out to battle.
It may look like a zoo here… and you might be correct in thinking so. However it’s only for about a week; but the upside is we get to see some pretty insane surfing from all the rippers in town for the contest this week.
Respectfully, these guys who come each year show a lot of respect out in the water, which is a nice way to be respected back since they’re repeat visitors to this wave magnet of a spot.
They want perfect waves for their one day event…. well they’re going to get it this year!!
September is one of the best months to be here. Just ask Pipé & Yoni. Some nice new friends of ours down here. 🙂
You can’t say it’s a show without a proper film crew. The best of the best will be out covering the event too.

Hows that lip????? Pretty heavy. Swells gonna be bigger tomorrow, so watch them limbs, cabeza and your quiver.

Hola amigos! Welcome to todays surf report. We currently have some big chunky waves coming in from this new swell. It’s a little unorganized, but the surfers were out and trying to make the best of it.
TGIF amigos & welcome to the start of the weekend surf report. As expected, the onshore winds have come (which we knew would happen due to the mayhem that’s hitting the Atlantic ocean side from Hurricane IRMA right now). There are a lot of people here who have friends and family from the east coast..
