I haven’t checked, but I think this swell has more South in it than usual so the waves were mostly focused at the South Peak.

Lesther, like many of the surfers who put in a marathon session today, logged a pretty ridiculous amount of tube time.

Asher spent a good portion of his morning behind the curtain as well!

Vinny driving up into the battlefield on this meaty left.

Bigger isn’t necessarily better. Asher on an unperturbed, perfectly shaped insider.

A youngster ripped the face off this left. Turns were scarcer than tubes today.

Lesther at it again. It has to be done right Lesther? Why live in paradise if you don’t choose to get tubed.

The wind this morning and evening couldn’t have been better. It really felt like surf season today.

Carlos Perez has a “classic” surf style. He stuck to his guns and weaved through a lengthy river-mouth right.

After getting a mind-melting tube, he proceeded to launch a huge Bruce or Andy Irons-esque air.

Asher compressing smoothly through this drop in preparation for some pumps to make the exit.

Time to step on the gas Asher. Floor it!

He’s deep in there! Can he pull off a miracle make?

Camera focus gave out on me. Asher emerging from the green room. We’re still holding our breath.

Uh oh. Someone dropped the curtain early on him here.

Asher so close on the make. It happens to all of us. I definitely had more than a handful with a similar fate today.

Lesther might’ve got the most barreled out of everyone this morning.

Wham! Free buckets of spray and showers for the on-lookers out the back.

Zinger sliding through a crispy clean pipe.

And he’s shot out of the canon!

Vinny weaved his way through a few leg burners this morning.

The lip of this wave was doing everything possible to whack Vinny down on the back.

He kept his talons dug into his board and pushed through the perpetual back slaps.

I was getting close to writing him off, but he somehow busted through the closeout section.

Carlos Perez capitalizing on what he does best: stylish surfing.

I hope you all enjoyed today’s extra beefy surf report! There was so much good surfing happening that I couldn’t figure out who to stiff and cull from the report haha! Tomorrow should be pretty all time too. Hasta mañana.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Saturday’s surf report from Panga Drops. The swell definitely began to fill in today. The main challenge was the wind and extreme tides. This morning the tide was low, and the swell was just starting to fill in, but the wind was favorable which was good.
