There was nobody in the water this morning at high tide. I waited there for an hour but I was getting hungry so I left… probably no one showed up even though there was some size and some waves were for sure rideable.

The tide today was very high, it was coming above the bank with force every so often. This wave even moved these two boats a little bit!

This couple were the only ones enjoying the onshore breeze at the beach and watching the messy waves come and go, and hopefully praying for better conditions soon.

There were a couple of dogs running around and having a blast at the beach. They were probably all excited with the smell of the ocean coming through. Look at that “good-looking” right on the background, someone should be out there.

On the far north of the beach there was consistent right breaking every so often. It looked nice comparing it to the rest of the beach.

The sun was nice and warm, and the colors of the morning were great, and the couple took advantage of this to have a photoshoot by the boats. I wish I had an object (one surfer at least) to have better surfing content today.

With the high tide this big, the waves were taking over the beach, passing over the sand bar and pushing water onto the estuary making it hard to walk on the beach towards Rancho Santana.

I’m going to take advantage of the conditions to showcase one of our Rancho Santana properties… this is Casita Santana, THE closest property to Santana beach. It is a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom casita just a few steps away from the beach and next to the Club House, where you can jump in the pool and have drinks and food at the restaurant.

Casita Santana is the perfect size for a small group of surfers or a small family. Its location is great as well as the price. For more photos and information about Casita Santana click here.

Looks like the wind will turn back to offshore tomorrow afternoon (crossing fingers!), come back tomorrow to check again the original, the one and only Nicaragua Surf Report. Saludos!
