Nicaragua Surf Report for Friday, September 13, 2024

Josh S

Hey amigos! Welcome to Friday’s surf report from Colorados. The window was definitely this morning when I took photos, contrary to the prior days where the barrels got better around mid-day.

Josh S

It was smaller than forecasted today, but definitely still better in the morning than later in the day. It was a mix of tubes and maneuvers as the sets weren’t super consistent. Dani Cruche with a quick boost at the river-mouth peak.

Josh S

There were many open faces to carve up as one saw fit this morning.

Josh S

Jackson clearly displaying why many pro surfers wax all their boards all the way up to their noses!

Josh S

Oscar killing two birds in one shot. Stretching and surfing.

Josh S

Caio shooting for the stars!

Josh S

He won the heat this morning with a variety of power hacks like this one here.

Josh S

This turn and the following two subsequent frames are all from the same wave. He put together a very solid score here.

Josh S

Ditch the fins, he doesn’t need ‘em.

Josh S

To complete the ride he cautiously cruised through a mini-roundhouse.

Josh S

Jackson up to his usual practice of getting inverted. Looks like the US Treasury yield curve may finally un-invert (Bull steepener). Be careful out there haha XD

Josh S

This chica kept the guys in check with this legit power turn. Solid mechanics and pretty spray for the onlookers.

Josh S

Oscar fanning his feathers one last time for today’s report.

Josh S

Tomorrow’s forecast looks very similar to today’s, but I personally think it will likely be smaller. Anyways, hopefully we still get some fun waves and I’ll catch you all tomorrow.
