Somewhere in Nicaragua
Buenas tardes damas y caballeros! Well, as promised, I got out there early this AM, but after hearing the raining all night, I had a pretty good feeling there would be some morning sickness to the texture of the surf this morning when I got down there. Sure enough, it definitely wasn’t like yesterday. Remember the old surfer saying, “man you shoulda been here yesterday”. Haahaa well, today brought that old saying back to my mind, BUT as the sun slowly started to make it’s way out, the texture started to clean up a little more and more and the people who also were slowly making their way out found some pretty fun corners and there’s never a better feeling or In Nica-Land, good refreshing ocean shower to start the ay off. Happy Wednesday btw! Wahooooooo ~

This dude was going for the glory on this foamy, full of sand, freakish one, (but you’ve gotta give him credit for taking this funky looking gnar gnar wave!)
Haaaa and he doggy doored it too! What a Stallion!!!
With how many kids are here right now…. I am guessing they’ve all gotta be homeschooled.
Meanwhile this guy was schooling the face of this wave!
Barely even 8am and this guys basting off like he works for Elon Musk or something??? jaja
Ok, ya. . . they’ve definitely all gotta be homeschooled. It’s mid September and everyone I know who is in a real school definitely isn’t here (usually this time of year). Maybe this is his P.E. class?
Zinger getting out there and on it early bird style. But with that amount of water he’s hucking we’ll probably have rain now for the entire month of October!
Walking out, not paddling out to the lineup and this is what you see 50 feet from you. Stoke level just went up a few notches!
While some people were just heading in (or out?) well however you look at it, like Alvaro here, already had his session / quota of waves for the day and some people were probably actually still seeping. If you happened to check out yesterdays report, you’ll notice the water completely cleaned up from chocolate milk brown and it’s already back to it’s nice clean blue color and more importantly, there is still lots of swell out in the water. Welcome back for another Monday surf report and the daily happenings here in Nicaragua. As most of you know we have a pretty big celebration here for the Independence day over the last few days.. and as most of you who follow the swell, weather and waves, know it’s been a heck of a year..
